Despite the old saying, "let your wound air dry", research confirms that a moist wound will heal better. For many years I would dress wounds by putting a triple antibiotic ointment (which is made with white petroleum jelly) on a sterile bandage so as not to contaminate the tube by putting it directly on the wound. I have since learned that the petroleum jelly is what is necessary. For a while I would use Q-tips to move the petroleum jelly from a jar to the sterile bandage. This was not efficient. I found these tubes. They work just like a tube of triple antibiotic ointment. I am a satisfied customer. Thank you.

I recently had a little boy and after he was born he was circumcised. To treat the healing area I had to put vasaline on it. This was the exact brand the hospital used while we were they and easy to use. It was so much easier to be able to squeeze it in between diaper changes instead of using a q-tip and vasaline from a jar.

This is very useful for many applications but I purchased it to prevent blisters on very long distant backpacking trips. Be aware that the tubes are much bigger than the photos demonstrates. I do not usually get blisters so I obtain this product for preventative measures.
